About This Game

Factorio is the engineering sandbox that consumes entire weekends without you noticing. Stranded on an alien planet, your objective is deceptively simple: build a rocket and launch a satellite. Between you and that goal are thousands of interlocking production chains — mine iron, smelt it into plates, assemble circuits, research technology, and scale everything up until your factory is a glorious, belt-driven symphony of automation.

The genius of Factorio is in its escalation. What starts as hand-crafting a few furnaces evolves into designing train networks, managing fluid dynamics, optimizing throughput ratios, and defending your sprawling base against waves of alien biters angered by your pollution. The game never holds your hand, but its systems are so logically consistent that every problem has a satisfying solution — usually involving more conveyor belts.
